Our Personal Captain Services are great way to explore different parts of The Exuma Cays!

 

If you bring in your own personal boat to Exuma, you may need to learn the Cays, the tides, where to go and where not to go...

If you want to rent a boat and perhaps find it's a little challenging to operate, you may feel uncomfortable or you just don't want to drive it yourself...

A Personal Captain may be just what you need!

​

Captain Sugar Jr. has been navigating the waters of the Cays for many years and knows the ins and outs.  He's also very experienced in operating various boats.  Older or Newer, Large or Small, Inboard or Outboard, he can take care of your Captain needs.

​

How much knowledge and experience does your Captain have?

Lack of knowledge of not only operating the boat, but anchoring and docking can jeopardize your safety and the boat, which is your responsibility.

​

There are certain areas of the Cays that have reefs that you can damage if you anchor on them or hit if you don't know they are there.  Some areas may not look shallow, but misjudging depth can leave you stranded.  There are areas with obstructions that can not be seen.

​

The tides in the Cays are dramatic.  Knowing what time high tide and low tide are each day is a must.  Anchoring as the tide goes out can leave a boat stuck on a beach or sand bar and you'll have to leave the boat or be stranded until the tide comes back in.  Which sometime can be over night.

​

Boats not properly docked or anchored have the potential of a boat drifting off with the tide or the current. 

 

When renting a boat you are solely responsible for the boat.

Things that your Personal Captain Services do not cover:

The cost of the boat rental

Fuel.  While the Captain can take you to fuel up that payment is your responsibility.

Food and Drinks.

Any landing fees.

Transporting the boat.

 

How it works:

You can reach out to our website or the Captain directly.

Fees for a full day of services are $500 and half day services are $300.

Bookings can be made online and will be confirmed with the Captain.

All payments are made directly to the Captain.

We require a $50 deposits as the Captain is committing to your trip.
